Educational walk and talk session related to the edible flora of olive groves took place at the campus and olive grove of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU)

In the framework of the project LIFE IGIC, an interactive walk and educational talk, leaded by Antonia Vogiatzaki (Member of the LIFE IGIC team), related to the floristic diversity of olive groves and its importance for agroecosystem sustainability and ecosystem services provision.

The event took place at the campus and the olive grove of the Hellenic Mediterranean University, on the 22th of March 2024. The talk underlined the importance of olive grove’s floristic diversity and especially the importance of edible species, for the local community and the cretan diet.
